There is a version of motherhood that gets held up as the standard — two parents, a nuclear family, a tidy story. And then there is the rest of us.
Unhinged & Educated is an online workshop and lecture series for solo and single mothers — women, non-binary, and non-gendered parents raising their children outside the box the world built for someone else. We are parenting alone, and we are done pretending that is something to be ashamed of.
We are tired of the shame. Tired of the narrative that says we are the problem, that our children are at risk, that we should have done it differently. We are deconstructing all of it together.
Across our workshops, we move through the arc — from shame to compassion to discernment to self to politics to integration to pleasure — as real, honest conversations. The kind of change that breaks generational patterns and frees you from shame cycles.
