The Joy Check-In

A 2-minute quiz to help you understand why motherhood feels so heavy right now and what might help you feel more like yourself again.

You’ll discover the emotional pattern you’re currently sitting in, along with grounding practices designed to support your nervous system without adding more to your plate.

Check-In with Your Joy Here

When you're carrying most of life on your own, joy can slowly disappear without you even noticing. Not all at once, little by little, under the weight of responsibility...

School lunches.
Work.
Emotional load.
The invisible tasks no one sees.

The Joy Check-In helps you understand what your nervous system is currently experiencing, and gives you tailored insights and supportive practices to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that feel lost beneath responsibility, so everyday life can begin to feel lighter, softer, and more manageable again.

This is for you if...

You are raising a child largely on your own

You feel like parts of yourself disappeared inside motherhood

You’re exhausted by advice that asks you to do more

You want small ways to reconnect with joy again

It only takes 2 minutes.

  • Your Joy Archetype
The pattern your nervous system has been sitting in and how it shows up daily

  • A 1-Min Micro Ritual
A simple way to shift moments in your day without adding something else to your list

  • A Grounding Practice
It could be food, audio or sensory support for your nervous system

  • A Moment of Joy
And a gentle way back to yourself without adding pressure to your life

Nothing overwhelming.
Just a small pocket of space for you.

The Joy Archetype

Most mothers move between three patterns.

Recognising your pattern can help validate what you’ve been feeling beneath the overwhelm, while giving you insight into the kinds of support, rest, connection, or joy that may help everyday life feel lighter again.

The Nurturer

You give constantly.
Somewhere along the way, you stopped replenishing yourself.

The Dreamer

You imagine the life you want.
But motherhood keeps pulling you back into survival mode.

The Firekeeper

You hold everything together.
Capable, resilient… and deeply tired.

Do you already know yours...?

Hi, I’m Jordan.

I’m a solo mum, trauma-informed meditation teacher, training therapist and former chef. Over the years I’ve explored the relationship between food, nervous systems and everyday wellbeing, especially for mothers carrying life largely on their own.

What I’ve seen again and again is this:

Most advice given to mothers focuses on fixing behaviour.

More self-care.
More discipline.
More routines.

But many mothers aren’t broken or doing it wrong.

They’re simply running the same nervous system pattern for too long.

Over-giving.
Over-thinking.
Over-holding everything together.

The Joy Check-In helps you gently identify which pattern you're currently moving through, without judgement and from there, it offers one small way back to yourself.
